Magic Show
A independent short film that is currently still in development. The goal is to create a short film that evokes the feelings of anxiety and fear. The main character Luna, attempts to overcome her stage fright to perform in her school's talent show.
Look Design
In the early versions of Magic Show, there was an attempt to create a primarily analogous color palette, however that didn't communicate the intent of the short well enough, so the idea was later scrapped. The color palette then shifted to colors that contrast the main character in the more intense scenes, i.e. Orange to contrast with her Violet. The aim was to create a harsh environment that the main character, Luna, does not feel she belongs.

Character design
The character design of the main character changed very slowly over time, with very minimal changes at first. The final goal was to create a soft yet approachable character young girl.
Her baggy clothes were designed with the intent to highlight her natural shyness, that the short is focused around. Her hair was designed to obscure the eyes, so she could hide behind them. The lines of the eyes are always shown on top of the hair to allow the viewer to always see what the main character is looking at, even when her hair is covering them.
